2010 UPCOMING LITTERS
Continuing our goal of providing class, championship bred wild bird dogs, Great Basin Kennel is pleased to announce the mating of Ch. Idaho's Clean Sweep to Great Basin's daughter of Ch. Elhew Texas Snakeeye, Lucille. "Tuffy" is a frozen semen son of Ch. Silver Strike x a champion daughter of Elhew Damascus. With this mating we blend the best of Elhew lines with Hall of Fame Ch. Red Water Rex. Tuffy is a proven wild bird champion who will be competing at Ames Plantation in the National Championship this year. Lucille is as classy a daughter of Ch. Elhew Texas Snakeeye that you will come across and we were very lucky to acquire her.
Update: Lucille whelped January 27 and had 5 females and 4 males. We have 3 deposits so far. Please contact me for deposit information so that you can reserve your pick! For more information, please contact CG at 702.813.0822.
SON OF CH. ELHEW SNAKEFOOT STANDING AT STUD
Great Basin Kennel was privileged to acquire an interest in a frozen semen son of HOF Ch. Elhew Snakefoot. Jay's first litter was by GBK's Sin Nombre, who is by Ch. Rockacre Blackhawk x SM Elhew Hazel (double Hanna's Elhew Lou bred). As expected, this mating produced the quality of pups we demand here at Great Basin Kennel. We will continue to use Jay as a stud on select females chosen for their bird sense, style and toughness. Jay is available as a stud by private treaty. Please contact C.G. for details.
BROKE AND STARTED DOGS FOR SALE
Ginger, by Ch. Elhew Sinbad, has returned home after spending 2 months with Sheldon Twer in training. She spent the summer in Canada learning how to find wild birds with Robin Gates, and I hunted her for October and part of November on Gambel's quail. She is what we called a well started dog, as she has not been force broke. For more information on this classy, well bred female, please contact CG at (702) 813-0822.
Red, by Ch. Erin's Southern Pride, spent the summer in Canada as well. Red has been with me hunting wild birds since October. This dog has an incredible desire to find birds. That makes it so much easier on me when breaking him. At the conclusion of the season, I will finish him wing to shot and he will be available.

Enclosed photo of is a photo of Bucky. He's really making a nice dog, still young but shows the potential. He finds alot of birds and is starting to hold good. He's running at shooting dog range now, but could as he gets older open up some more. Overall, a very nice pup......
Thanks,
Robin"
